Ryan Figueira has worked for the past several years in the Employment and Labour Relations field, specifically in the health care sector.
As a Researcher at Hall Labour Relations, he provided research to be used in the drafting of collective agreements, labour arbitrations, mediations and the general concerns of clients in the Long-term Care and Nursing areas. He also conducted various workplace investigations and received sponsorship from the firm to complete the Workplace Investigations Certificate from the HRPA. Ryan also worked as a Labour Relations Intern at Hamilton Health Sciences providing similar services within the Labour Relations sector. With increased responsibility in this role, he provided arguments during negotiations with union representatives, completing investigations and risk assessments of internal/external concerns.
Ryan will be completing his LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School and is a recent LLB graduate of the University of Leeds in 2020. Prior to beginning his legal studies, Ryan completed his BA (Political Science) and MA (Public Policy) from McMaster University. While completing his degree, Ryan completed a certificate in Business Administration jointly organized by McMaster and Mohawk College.
