Vice President, Corporate Services

Established in 2019, the New Digital Research Infrastructure Organization (NDRIO) is a national not-for-profit organization that is playing a critical role helping to advance the establishment of a researcher-focused, accountable, agile, strategic, and sustainable Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) ecosystem for Canadian researchers. Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has earmarked $375 million in funding to consolidate and revitalize the infrastructure and tools offered to researchers and will support activities in advanced research computing (ARC), research data management (RDM) and research software (RS), driving continued excellence in research across all disciplines. In what is a truly auspicious time for Canada’s science, innovation and economic future, NDRIO is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Services to help build and shape this new organization. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Corporate Services is accountable for the strategic direction and thought leadership necessary to ensure sound decision-making and oversight of NDRIO’s corporate services function. The new VP, Corporate Services will work to establish a strong, sustainable corporate foundation, incorporating best-in-class financial, human resource, procurement, back-office information technology and risk management needs of the organization. The VP, Corporate Services will play a key role in supporting the strategies, business priorities, and objectives across NDRIO.

As the ideal candidate, you bring a Masters’ degree in finance, public administration or business, ideally with a CPA designation. You are a proven strategic leader with expertise in both championing change and leading critical transformation for a new organizational culture and vision.  You have a track record in financial management, human resources and corporate services. You understand public sector contribution agreements and have successfully managed organizational risk in periods of transformation.  You thrive in agile environments and have experience building new organizations or helping organizations scale their operations. You foster open, inclusive and collaborative work environments and champion diversity. Bilingualism is an asset for the role. NDRIO’s head office is based in Ottawa, however the role can be located anywhere across Canada.
